Chicks Have arrived

It's springtime and we are slowly but surely moving toward a hobby farm.  Hoping to one day be self sufficient homestead style.  Yesterday was the day, we bought our chicks.  This is what I got:

6 Rhode Island Reds
2 Americauna
2 Black Barred
2 Buff Orpingtons
2 Silkies
and 2 Indian Runner ducklings

WOW what a racket but OOOOOOH so cute!  Hubby has named the ducklings Flipper and Magnolia.  He's really taken a liking to the ducklings.  Rosie has been interested too.

Packages in the Mail

Busy week full of fun.  I love getting magazines and packages in the mail.  I'm as excited over packages I expect to arrive as those that are surprises...

I had a stich day with the BFFs on Thursday.  Cari provided lunch and I provided dessert - Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake (a specialty of mine) I added a cream cheese frosting.  Delicious

Cari provided sugar for our coffee/tea I grabbed photos to remind myself to order some

 And our after lunch tummy soothers - because at my age Pizza  with red sauce plays havoc on the system
